INQUIRING MINDS (2) made progress last start to finish second over 1m1 1/2f at Canterbury. Likely improver with strong prospects. DON PEDRO (3) drifted back over 7¾f here last time before winding up late to finish fourth, beaten 1.75 lengths. Outdashed but got home well and appears suited by the longer journey. Well placed and expected to feature. I AM THE EMPIRE (5) returns after a lay-off of five months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1m at Bendigo. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with three minor placings. Makes plenty of appeal.
