DR EVIL (1) drifted well back before winding up strongly to score an effortless 2 lengths win over 1m at Warwick Farm last time out. Has a win and five minor placings from eight starts at this track and distance. Sure to run well. AIX EN PROVENCE (7) finished fourth last time out over 1m at Warwick Farm, beaten 3 lengths. Will prove tough to beat. JACOB'S TIME (6) bounced back last start and got the job done by 1.2 lengths over 1m at Hawkesbury. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is good enough to play a major role. DIRECT FIRE (8) was in the firing line on the corner and finished third last start over 7½f at Rosehill, beaten 1.3 lengths. Should be cherry-ripe. Placed to advantage and can run a bold race.
