SKYBIRD (13) hasn't been far away lately, beaten a neck at her most recent appearance when third over 7f in the G2 Rose Of Kingston Stakes at Flemington. Beau Mertens who has four wins when partnering stays on. Should be involved in the finish. OSTRAKA (4) got home by just a head at his latest appearance over 6f at this track. Nice weight drop so another bold showing is expected. STRETAN ANGEL (12) drifted well back last start before winding up strongly to just miss when third over 6f in the G2 Gilgai Stakes at Flemington. Will find this easier. Sure to be there at the finish. VEIGHT (1) resumed last time out and finished 11th over 6f at Moonee Valley, beaten 5.5 lengths. Among the main hopes.
