SERENE NIC (9) improved sharply on her fifth two starts back at Wyong with success over 1m at Warwick Farm two weeks ago, getting home by 1.4 lengths after she gave away a big start on the bend. Finds a suitable race and can build on that solid recent effort. THE REPLICANT (8) raced on the speed last time and was game in defeat when second over 6½f at Warwick Farm. Among the main chances. REGAL POM (1) turned in a strong performance when resuming when in the money at Sandown-Lakeside but disappointed last time when eighth, beaten 7 lengths, at Caulfield over 7f. Ideally placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. BELLEISTIC KIDS (6) was responsible for a better run last start, beaten 2.75 lengths into fourth over 1m at Forbes. Better than recent efforts suggest.
