MAD DARCEY (13) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by 2.25 lengths over 5f at Gosford. Open to plenty of improvement and looms as the one to beat again. DELEXO (1) got the prize two runs ago at this track. Less impressive last time out when seventh over 5½f at Rosehill, beaten 4 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Has the ability to produce another win. REBEL DEAN (4) drifted back last time but wound up nicely to finish just 0.7 lengths away in second over 5½f at Canterbury. Nicely drawn on the fence and looks a genuine threat again. BEEP TEST (7) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6¼f at Canterbury, beaten 4 lengths. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
