SHIKANIC (3) was in the money two starts back at Gawler but couldn't back it up last time when tenth, beaten 9 lengths, at Gawler over 6f after being in contention on the corner. Yet to miss the placings in three starts over this course and distance. Finds a more suitable contest and can get the job done. LANCELOTTO (2) has progressed nicely in his last couple of runs. Finished third at this track two starts back then scored by 0.6 lengths last time out over 5f at Roxby Downs. Must raise the bar but another win is not out of the question. BROADWAY LANE (5) has not won for a long while. Last raced on August 20 when beaten 5.5 lengths into seventh at Ballarat Synthetic over 5f after being in the firing line on the turn. Has the ability to take care of this field. CRY CRY BABY (9) turned in a much better effort last time out to score by 1.75 lengths over 5½f at Quorn. Well placed to feature in the finish again.
