TUFF OPERATOR (9) ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 1m3/4f at Port Lincoln after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Likely improver with strong prospects. SEVEN SHOTS (5) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 7¾f at Bordertown. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. SHADOWIST (6) turned in a moderate midfield finish when resuming from a lay-off three weeks ago over 5½f at Clare. Likely to improve with that run under the belt so he is one of the leading contenders. TOORAK BLAZE (8) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fourth, beaten 6 lengths, over 6¾f at Port Lincoln. Warrants plenty of respect.
