LONG GENES (3) is racing well including a last start seventh over 1m1f at Ascot. Yet to win at the distance but has recorded two minor placings. Leading chance. TON OF GRUNT (4) wasn't far away last time out, finishing sixth over 7f at Ascot after he got a long way back in the run. The extra journey should play into his hands. Likely to play a major role. STATE OF FURY (12) ran a strong second over 1m at Belmont Park two runs back then was below her best last time over 1m1/4f when eighth, beaten 8 lengths. Appeals back in trip this time so she is one of the main contenders. STRIKING FELLA (5) finished third last time over 7f at Geraldton, beaten a neck. Will trim down following recent racing. Placed to advantage and can feature in the finish.
