MR WHITACRE (8) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6½f at Bordertown, beaten 3.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. BENOVSKY (10) missed the placings two runs back then didn't feature last start when 17 lengths away in tenth over 7f at Mt Gambier. Has the class to produce a better result. THE GREY KING (2) was well-fancied last time out but could only manage third over 6f five days ago. Must contend with a wide draw but should feature. CRAIGLEA BLIZZARD (3) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing eighth at Coleraine over 6½f after he got a long way back in the run. Likely improver who should be thereabouts.
