SILK WAR (9) is back from a lay-off of eight months. Turned in a fair effort at Presque Isle Downs (Synthetic) over 1m1f at his only run last prep, finishing fourth and beaten 2.5 lengths. Has a win and three minor placings at this journey from five starts and should be hard to stop. EYE ON THE CANDY (11) went forward and proved too strong when resuming last time out, scoring by 2.75 lengths over 1m1/2f at Pimlico (Dirt). Should park just off the speed despite a difficult draw. Must raise the bar but this looks well within his grasp. SUGAR'S LAST HOPE (7) recorded a strong on-pace win here last time by one length over 1m1/4f. Solid winning hope. MAJOR THOMAS (4) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fourth over 5f at this track (Dirt). Placed to advantage and can feature in the finish.
