NELSON AVENUE (1) is a talented gelding who was well held last time out in the tougher Cigar Mile Handicap won by Locked over 1m at Aqueduct, beaten 11 lengths into eighth. Should park just off the speed. Will prove tough to beat. MAXIMUS MERIDIUS (6) built on a nice second two starts back at Listed level at Mahoning Valley (Dirt) with a win over 6f in stakes class at Aqueduct (Dirt) three days ago, getting home by half a length. Has the talent to make it two on the bounce. ONE MORE SCOOP (2) has been racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid second in Listed grade at this track (Dirt) over 6½f. Goes well at this journey with two wins and two placings from six starts and has winning claims on best figures. FAR MO POWER (4) is having his first run since July 20. Has a strong record when fresh with two wins from four runs, the most recent over 7f at this track at the start of last prep. Makes plenty of appeal.
