BELNERA (4) is back after a break of nine months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 5½f at Werribee. One of the genuine hopes in the race. BEAUTIFUL JEWEL (7) stepped out for her debut over 5f at Sandown-Hillside back on May 8 and finished seventh, beaten 5.5 lengths. Likely improver and can get off the mark this time. CASTELLAR (5) raced once in the maiden campaign when fifth at Caulfield over 5½f back on June 1. Worth following up. BRAVE APACHE (1) was in the firing line on the turn and finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 5f at Tatura, beaten 4.5 lengths. Should take a lot from that hit-out. In the right race and is a top-three hope.
