PERIDOT STAR (12) was in a different class last time with a dominant all-the-way win by 3.5 lengths at this track over 5½f. Will prove very tough to beat. IMMORTAL SHIELD (8) was an impressive maiden winner last time out, scoring by 5 lengths over 6f at Ballarat Synthetic. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Looks well placed and he looks sure to be in the mix. OUR MALYSHKA (10) turned in another moderate effort last start when 5.5 lengths from the winner in seventh over 5¾f at Geelong. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
