ARTIFACTX (1) is back after a break of five-and-a-half months. At the last run before the layoff he finished sixth over 6½f at Kembla Grange. Tuned up with a ninth in a recent trial at Warwick Farm. Has ability and can get off the mark. WONDER STEP (9) is a three-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Gayna Williams yard. Finished off last campaign with a tenth at Pakenham Synthetic three months ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but looks nicely placed. Among the leading chances. HARDHEAD (7) is a three-year-old gelding facing the starter for the first time. From an elite family that includes black type success, being by All Too Hard from Sugar Bay. Scored in his most recent trial at Hawkesbury. Importantly has a nice gate and is ready to run well. KNIGHTS REIGN (8) is a gelding by Knight Exemplar out of Terra Reign on debut. Fitter for a recent trial placing. Should be competitive with the blinkers going straight on.
