RUGGS (3) finished fifth two runs back at this track (Dirt) then improved last time out to score by 1.75 lengths as favourite after being in contention on the bend over 6f at this track (Dirt). Facing a tougher assignment but he is capable of another big run. Group 2 placegetter TOP GUNNER (9) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 5 lengths when fifth in a 6f contest at this track six-and-a-half weeks ago. Has the class to take this out. SAMURAI PRINCE (1) turned in a solid fresh performance last start when a minor placegetter over 6f at this track (Dirt), beaten 1.75 lengths. Can feature with the right run. SUMMER IN MALIBU (11) ran a better race last start, finishing 3.5 lengths away in fifth over 6f at this track. Better than recent efforts suggest.
