MONTGOMERY (1) went forward last start over 1m3 3/4f at Newcastle and held on well for second, beaten 2 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can get the job done. COSMOS FACTORY (4) finished 3 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1m at Kembla Grange two-and-a-half weeks ago. Steps up in journey. Comes down a level this time. Better placed this time and is a genuine threat. DIRECT 'N' READY (6) showed little early speed last start and failed to come on in the straight when ninth, beaten 12 lengths, over 1m at Kembla Grange. Finds a more suitable contest and can turn things around. SIDE CASH (3) was a long way back last start but hit the line well to finish sixth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1m2f at Queanbeyan. Should prove tough to hold out.
