SHAMBRETTA (1) ran below expectations last time after being in the firing line on the corner at Kembla Grange, finishing fifth and beaten 11 lengths starting at 9/2. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is right in contention. SIMPLY JUST (4) has started twice, running a good second on debut then finishing fourth, beaten 1.3 lengths, last time over 6½f at Hawkesbury. Has good early speed. Rates highly on debut effort and should go well. CERTAIN FUTURE (6) did a fair job on debut last time out, finishing 2 lengths from the winner in fourth over 6½f at Randwick Kensington. Must be included among the main hopes. SUNSHINE LAW (8) resumes from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months. Looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 1m at Kembla Grange. Looks ready to run following a minor placing in a recent Rosehill trial. Rates highly on best form and should be in the mix.
