ROYAL MERCHANT (5) raced in town last time and missed the frame, finishing fifth in the G2 The Invitation at Randwick and beaten 4.5 lengths. Sure to go well. BRIASA (14) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by 3 lengths over 6¼f at Randwick Kensington as favourite. That continued the very strong form this campaign, with two wins from three outings. Leading player again. COAL CRUSHER (2) hadn't been far away prior to finishing 16 lengths adrift in 11th last start over 6½f in the Winners Stakes at Rosehill. Should be prominent from the outset. Sure to be competitive. PRIVATE EYE (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6½f at Rosehill, beaten 4 lengths into fifth. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
