RIP OFF (10) has been going well this campaign, scoring last start over 6½f at this track to make it two wins from four runs this time in. Has never been out of the placings in five starts at this journey and shapes as a key contender. FLYING RANI (11) turned things around last start and scored by 0.7 lengths after being in contention on the turn over 6½f at Hawkesbury. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. SONOFDEC (1) disappointed at his last run four-and-a-half months ago when 13th in the G1 Queensland Derby at Eagle Farm, that effort following back-to-back wins. Opened last prep with a minor placing over 6f87yards at Muswellbrook. Anticipating a strong return to racing. SPANISH FOX (6) showed good early dash and led throughout to score by 1.75 lengths last time out over 6½f at Hawkesbury. Top strike rate at the journey with two wins and two placings from four starts and is a key contender.
