DARK LAGER (2) proved too strong two runs ago at Edenhope. Less impressive last time out when 11th over 7f at Morphettville Parks, beaten 12 lengths. Perfectly placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. FLYING ASSASSIN (6) returns from a layoff of six-and-a-half months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 6f at Gawler. Among the better hopes. BURNT BY BERNIE (8) has been in the market at his last couple of runs but failed to threaten, the latest effort a modest fifth at Mt Gambier over 6f. Well-placed and can sneak into the finish.
