TORENDOSETTA (5) is yet to break through after three career starts. Managed to find the placings at Newcastle two starts back when resuming before finishing fifth over 5f at Orange last start. Likely to play a major role. MARIKO (1) ran well on debut last start to finish second over 4½f at Newcastle in a tougher race. Sure to take a lot from that hitout so another bold showing is expected. STRAIGHT SOUTH (3) was given a short break after finishing ninth over 5f at Tamworth. Kept ticking over since that run with a trial at Scone. Solid each-way chance.
