CROATIAN MADAME (10) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just three wins from 42 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when tenth over 7f at Scone, beaten 5.5 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run. FROSBIE (1) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when 12th, beaten 13 lengths, over 6¾f at Newcastle. Cherry-ripe now and will be tough to beat. BEST OF MAHER (2) had been threatening before breaking through for a deserved win last time over 7½f at this track, scoring by a nose. Narrow win and up in the weights but can go on with it. CICADA (3) was unplaced two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Nowra, beaten 3.5 lengths into ninth. Has his share of ability and is a top-three prospect.
