GUSTAV (2) was having his first run for the Ben Blay stable last start when he made steady ground to run into third over 5f at Kempsey at the first run back from a lay-off. Can go a couple better. MERCHANT SPEED (5) is back after a break of six-and-a-half months. At the last run before the layoff he finished eighth over 5f at Taree. Looks ready to run following a minor placing in a recent Scone trial. Strong winning chance on best figures. IRISH ACCOLADE (4) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on May 6 finishing ninth and beaten 10 lengths over 7f at Gunnedah. Looks a strong top-three prospect.
