ADAGIO (1) ran well on debut last start to finish second over 7f at Newcastle in a tougher race. Jumps from a good draw so he should pay to follow. FRENCH DELIVERY (9) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7½f at Newcastle, beaten 5.5 lengths into tenth. This is a nice drop in grade so he is likely to play a big role. ETCHED IN TIME (2) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 1.5 lengths back in fifth over 6½f at Newcastle. One of the main contenders. BLING EMPIRE (5) wasn't far away on debut last start over 7f at Taree, finishing second and beaten one length. Among the chances.
