SHINOHARA (12) finished fifth on debut then improved last start but found one better over 4½f at Mt Gambier, beaten a nose after being in contention on the turn. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. SABIE FALLS (10) was close to a maiden win before a eight months break, finishing off with a placing over 5½f at Clare. Jumps from a wide alley. Can launch this campaign in positive style. ABSINTHE (4) hasn't raced since finishing 12th at Morphettville over 5¼f a month ago. Kept ticking over with a recent trial at Balaklava. Rates highly and sure to be competitive. KISS KISS KISS (7) is on debut. By Rubick and is out of the Andrew Clarken stable. Top-three chance.
