GALLIUM (3) returns after eight months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a fourth over 1m1/2f at Gawler. Has ability and can get off the mark. FLYING YANK (8) is still a maiden after four runs. Was well in commission last time out but after being in contention on the corner didn't live up to market expectations, finishing seventh over 7f at this track. Rates highly in this field and can turn things around. PONTY WELL (5) is racing well without winning. Last start finished ninth, beaten 10 lengths, over 1m at Strathalbyn. Yet to break through at this trip but has registered two minor placings. Among the leading chances. ARTISTIC GAL (1) finished 7 lengths from the winner in sixth at her most recent appearance over 1m at this track. Finds a suitable assignment this time and can improve.
