CARPE BELLUM (6) turned in a handy position before finishing second last start over 5½f at this track (Dirt), beaten 1.5 lengths. Looks well placed so expect another forward display. NOBLE UNION (5) turned in a fine effort to win by one length at this course and distance last start to maintain his good form of late. Looks well placed so expect another big run. VORTEX (8) finished 3 lengths back in fourth over 5½f at this track (Dirt) last time out after a gutsy win the start prior. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. One of the main contenders. SIMPLY JACK (1) lines up for the first time since July 27. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1m1/2f at Charles Town. Among the better hopes.
