CARPE BELLUM (3) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just two wins from 21 starts. Was again denied last start when he found a couple better over 1m1/4f at Fort Erie. Finds an easier assignment and can get the job done. NOBLE UNION (7) returned from a lay-off three-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 26 lengths into sixth over 1m at this track. Won't find this as tough so he is a leading contender. HIALEAH NATIVE (8) was in contention all the way and fought on for second last start over 1m at this track (Dirt), making it two minor placings in a row. Wide draw and will need a good steer from B Tapara. Likely improver with strong prospects. STAR DEPUTY (1) showed good early speed from the inside draw last time and led throughout to score by half a length over 1m at this track (Dirt). Must be included.
