BIG BELL (4) had been in top form landing two consecutive wins but last start missed the frame when fifth over 5½f at this track (Dirt). Expecting sharp improvement this time. LADY JEAN (3) was in contention on the turn and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 4½f at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. DEL MAR FLASH (5) was never really a threat when resuming last start over 5½f at this track (Dirt), finishing 6 lengths from the winner in sixth. Has a solid record at this circuit. Should be thereabouts. ILLUSIONS OF LOVE (1) resumes in a similar race to her last run six months ago when she scored by 1.3 lengths. Has to be respected.
