Multiple Group 3 placegetter MUCH BETTER (1) resumes from a lay-off of nine months after closing off last campaign with three consecutive minor placings. Sure to feature. EL CARDINAL (5) turned in a solid fresh performance last start when a minor placegetter over 5½f at this track (Dirt), beaten 1.3 lengths. Leading chance. BAZOO (6) has progressed nicely in his last couple of runs. Finished second at Mahoning Valley (Dirt) two starts back then scored by half a length last time out over 4½f at this track (Dirt). Yan Aviles scored on him last time and retains the mount. Meeting a tougher field but on current form he is right in contention. SAG HARBOR (4) ran below expectations last time at this track (Dirt), finishing sixth and beaten 8 lengths. Well placed to turn things around.
