QUARKY (2) has been in the market at his last couple of runs but failed to threaten, the latest effort a modest fifth at this track (Dirt) over 4½f. Can improve and is a leading player on best figures. UNYIELDING (8) was in great form at the end of the last campaign with back-to-back wins, the latest over 5½f at this track six-and-a-half months ago. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Best figures should see him run well. OFFUTT COLE (1) comes here off a break of six months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 4½f at this track. Has to be respected. RIVER ANT (3) has not appeared since he finished fourth over 6f at this track (Dirt) on November 26. Can make his presence felt.
