HAY JOE (3) returned from a lay-off three-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 2.25 lengths into sixth over 5½f at Stawell. Finds a suitable assignment and can find winning form. SANTASTICO (4) finished 1.5 lengths away from the winner in third last start at Bordertown over 5½f Has a strong record at this trip, scoring two times from four starts. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Will prove tough to beat. CAPTAIN JOOLIAN (8) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 7f at Horsham. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. MELISSA KATE (9) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7¾f at Bordertown, beaten 10 lengths into ninth. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
