KING GUTHO (3) drifted well back last start before winding up strongly to finish third, beaten 2.5 lengths, over 5f at Wagga. Will be tough to hold out again. ALICIA ROMA (1) resumes from a lay-off of 12 weeks and is having her first outing under new trainer Mitchell Beer. Finished seventh at Randwick over 5f at the opening run last time in work. Will be forward for this after a recent trial win at Hawkesbury. A solid return is anticipated. GORUSH LIGHTNING (7) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 0.8 lengths when fifth over 5f at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago. Worth noting Patrick Scorse goes aboard. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. FOURTH SPARGO (4) did well to score two runs ago then turned in a decent effort last time out when third over 5f at this track, beaten a neck. One of the main hopes.
