LA NARRADORA (9) finished 3.5 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 5½f at Hamilton, an improvement on her eighth at Benalla the run before. Will enjoy a drop in class so she is likely to play a big role. ALLOUVRE (8) stepped out on her debut over 5½f at Hamilton three weeks ago and finished fourth, beaten 3.5 lengths. Will take a lot from that last run and is worth following up. BIG BEAM (2) is a three-start maiden who finished fifth, beaten 6 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5f at Warrnambool. Will derive great benefit from that outing and deserves consideration.
