OAKLAND RAIDER (1) improved sharply on his tenth two starts back at this track with success over 5f at this track seven-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 1.75 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Must raise the bar but another big run will not surprise. CHAMPAGNE EFFORT (8) has switched yards since finishing fourth three-and-a-half weeks ago over 5f at Yarra Valley. Has ability and makes plenty of appeal. SIX STARS (3) was last at the races when he finished ninth over 6¼f at this track on September 7. Definite top-three chance.
