MERCHELLE (7) made a strong late bid only to just miss when fresh from a lay-off last start over 6f at Morphettville. Should tighten right up following that outing. Nicely placed to go one better. SHISUTA BO (9) booted up from the inside draw to sit on the speed last start then stuck on well to finish a head away in second over 6f at Balaklava. Likely improver with bright prospects. HALLSTATT (3) settled well back last time out then found the line strongly to finish 2 lengths away in fourth over 6f at Gawler. Should prove tough to hold out. GRINZINGER ACE (4) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when he was beaten 1.4 lengths into fourth over 6f at Morphettville. Strips fitter and can improve.
