ZANTHRON (2) wound up strongly last time out to finish a nose adrift in second over 5f at this track when returning from a lay-off. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Will give a great sight. SIR NOW (11) produced a reasonable effort to finish 2.5 lengths away in third last start over 5f at Murray Bridge. That followed a win on debut at Murray Bridge. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time. MIDNIGHT POKER (7) returns from a lay-off of five months and did score when resuming when last in work at Stony Creek over 5f. Lines up for the first time for the Aaron Bain & Ned Taylor stable. Will be fit enough for this following a recent trial win. Solid top-three hope. SILENT ALERT (1) last appeared six weeks ago over 6f at Swan Hill when he finished sixth. This is his first run for the W Clarken & N O'shea stable. Kept up to the mark with a recent placing in a Balaklava trial.
