ANOTHER NEPHEW (1) showed little early speed then came with a powerful run to finish second last time out over 1m2 1/4f at this track. Strong effort last time and is worth following up. OUTCASTER (7) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fourth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1m2 1/4f at this track. Sure to be tough to hold out. MAKAMAE (12) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 2.25 lengths when sixth in a 1m2 1/2f contest at Benalla two-and-a-half weeks ago after being in the firing line on the turn. Beau Mertens gets the best out of this four-year-old mare. Facing a tougher assignment but she is good enough to take this out. MY ROCA FELLA (3) went back early from his wide draw over 7½f at this track last time but hit the line strongly to finish sixth. Was outdashed but got going late and the longer journey looks ideal. Solid top-three prospects.
