CAPTAIN CAT (2) resumed from a lay-off last start with a sound second over 7f25yards at Sale after being in the firing line on the bend. This is a suitable assignment and can get the job done. DARK SIMBA (10) turned in a moderate effort on debut last start when seventh at Bendigo over 6½f, beaten 6 lengths. Can improve sharply and may be worth following up. ANOINTED LAD (1) was in contention on the bend and finished second last start over 1m at Cranbourne, beaten 4.5 lengths. This is an easier assignment and can take this out. ORISKANY (8) was allowed to drift back from a wide draw last time out then found the line strongly to grab third over 7¼f at Tatura. Strong chance again.
