THE GREAT ARMADA (9) was never in contention last time over 6f87yards at Muswellbrook when he finished ninth, beaten 5 lengths. Among the top chances in what looks a most suitable race. I'M SCARLETT (4) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6½f at Dubbo, beaten 2 lengths. Fitter and sure to run well. FORT JEFFERSON (3) finished fifth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 6½f at Gunnedah, beaten just 0.6 lengths. No surprise to see him in the mix.
