QUEBECK (6) turned in a good effort on debut six-and-a-half months ago when 0.7 lengths away in third at Bendigo over 5½f. Has not been to the races since that outing. Placed in a recent trial. Likely improver and should prove tough to beat again. FURY (4) finished third, beaten 3.5 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Sandown-Lakeside after he made late ground. Hard to beat in this suitable race. JESSUP (1) started favourite when resuming but found a couple better over 5f at Cranbourne. Yet to miss the placings at this trip. Expected to be in the finish again. MISS WINSLET (11) was in the firing line on the bend and finished second last time over 6f at this track, beaten 1.3 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. Placed to advantage so expect another forward showing.
