INDEPENDENT ROAD (5) showed good early dash and led throughout to score by a nose last time out over 1m2f at Ballarat. One of the top chances again. TYCOON BEC (7) was in the firing line on the bend and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1m2f at Ballarat after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. South Australian Derby winner DUNKEL (1) drifted well back then came with a powerful run to finish 1.5 lengths from the winner in second when resuming last start over 1m1f at Caulfield. Tough to stop again. Group 2 winner STARS OF CARRUM (6) last appeared when seventh over 2m in the G2 Adelaide Cup at Morphettville ten months ago. Definite top-three chance.
