MAGGIE ROCKS (4) finished out of the money when fresh from a lay-off two starts back then was beaten 6 lengths when fourth in a 6f contest at Yea two-and-a-half weeks ago. Nicely placed to get the prize. CALYPSO RICH (2) started this campaign with a win two runs ago. Less impressive last time out when third over 6f at Yea, beaten 3.5 lengths. Yet to miss the placings from four starts at this circuit. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time. WILMA WOMBAT (3) scored a dominant victory at Swift's Creek over 5f at her latest appearance on March 31. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. MAIN BEACH (1) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on July 12 finishing 12th and beaten 12 lengths over 6f at Moe. Worth plenty of thought.
