SIMMONTAVI (4) turned in a disappointing run last time out over 6½f at Alexandra after a nice win the start prior. Has her share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. LORD CAT (2) turned in a strong run last time when third at Harden just 10 days ago. Backing up quickly over the longer journey. Strong run last time and is capable of taking this out. AHTOHALLAN (5) showed little early speed last start and failed to come on in the straight when eighth, beaten 14 lengths, over 7f at Ballarat. Worth noting Caitlin King goes aboard. Has the ability to take care of this field. CESAR BESSAN (1) finished seventh two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 1m at Yea, beaten only one length. Looks to be in the right race so another bold effort is on the cards.
