SPIRIT MAKER (6) led into the straight last start over 6f at Avoca on soft going but could not sustain the pressure and finished seventh. Should be poised just off the lead. Best form puts her right in this. SPACE COWBOY (3) was in the market when resuming but could only manage fifth over 6f at Yea last start. Usually performs well with that run under his belt. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Will prove tough to beat. WILLETTS (1) returns from a lay-off of eight months and did score when resuming when last in work at this track over 1m. Lines up for the first time for the Stacey Kirkpatrick stable. Among the better hopes while fresh. GIBBED (2) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a lay-off on June 2 finishing 12th and beaten 15 lengths over 1m2f at Wangaratta. Has to be respected.
