SLEW SKIES (9) remains a maiden after eight runs. Had plenty of admirers last time and finishing a close second over 7½f at Lone Star Park (Turf). Rates highly here on that effort. NORTH OF BALI (7) is a six-start maiden who could only manage to finish fourth at his latest appearance over 1m at Evangeline Downs (Dirt). Well placed on this occasion and gets his chance to break the ice. REV TOO (4) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 11 lengths when fifth in a 1m1/4f contest at this track four weeks ago. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. STAR BYFAR (2) was safely held on debut last start, finishing 18 lengths behind the winner in fourth over 6½f at this track (Dirt). Draws far better this time. Will take a lot from that experience. One of the hopes.
