YOUNG TUSCAN (3) went to the paddock after scoring at his only appearance last prep ten weeks ago over 6f at Fairgrounds (Dirt). Rates highly and makes plenty of appeal while fresh. POMEROY HAZE (7) is close to breaking through after three consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 6f at Lone Star Park (Dirt) after being in contention all the way. Should race just off the speed despite the wide draw. Finds a more suitable contest and can get the job done. PINCH ME A PENNY (2) turned things around last start and landed the prize by 0.3 lengths when he came from a long way back on straightening after being in the firing line on the corner over 5½f at this track (Dirt). Has the talent to take care of this field. PINKY RING BLING (1) started at 11/4 last time but could only manage fourth, beaten 5.5 lengths, at Sam Houston Park over 6f. Commendable record at this trip with a win and seven minor placings and cannot be underestimated.
