PROUD VETERAN (5) was well in the market again when second at this track (Dirt) and starting to prove costly but does tend to run well here. Well placed here and expected to go close again. EREBUS (3) finished eighth two runs back at Del Mar (Turf) then improved last time out to score by 0.3 lengths after being in contention on the corner over 6f at Los Alamitos (Dirt). Will enjoy a drop in class so he is likely to play a big role. WEGONAHAVAGOODTIME (1) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when he was beaten 2.2.5 lengths into fourth over 5½f at Los Alamitos. Rojas Francisco Orduna is a key engagement. This doesn't look as hard so he will prove hard to beat. HELLADIC (2) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 4f124yards at this track, beaten 2.5 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can build on that solid recent effort.
