BP CARTEL POLICY (8) produced a good effort last start over this distance in Group 2 class at this track (Dirt), scoring by 1.5 lengths. Has a strong record this course, scoring at four of seven starts. One of the major players. TRY HARDER (1) had been racing consistently, finishing in the money five races on end, until finishing fourth as favourite last time out over 6½f at Parx. Change of jockey to Cruz Mendez who has a strong record when aboard with a win and three placings from four rides. Expecting a bold showing. DARK NME (2) is having her first run since August 11. Has a strong record when fresh with two wins from two runs, the most recent over 2f at Ruidoso Downs at the start of last prep. Has found a suitable race to kick off the campaign. NO CAN TELL (4) saluted at the first run back from a lay-off last start over 1f80yards at this track (Dirt), scoring by 0.3 lengths. Has been given a let-up of five weeks since that outing. Open to plenty of improvement and is worth following up.
