SMARTY NOSE (4) turned things around last start and got the job done by 0.1 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn as favourite over 5½f at Los Alamitos (Dirt). The engagement of Ricardo S Ramirez is a positive move. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot repeat the dose. CAPTURE THE SEA (7) showed the way from stall rise to score by 1.75 lengths last start over this course and distance. Has a strong association with Henry Reynoso Lopez who has been in the saddle for his last two wins. Leading contender. FACTS MATTER (1) showed good early dash last time out and led for most of the way before being claimed and finishing 3.5 lengths away in second over 5½f at Los Alamitos (Dirt). Will give a bold sight again. BLACKJACK AND BEER (2) was on a winning run of two races but last time out missed the frame when seventh over 5½f at Los Alamitos (Dirt). Should park just off the speed. Not to be discounted.
